This path typically requires a Certificate IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques for entry-level lab roles, or a Bachelor of Medical Science for more advanced diagnostic and research positions.

Pathologist is the medical specialisation itself, and it’s the longest pathway: a medical degree (MBBS), followed by specialist training in pathology through the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
